Common FAQ

Can acupuncture be combined with other treatments?

Acupuncture treatments can be used alone or in combination with other treatments depending on the plan tailored for you. Acupuncture can be combined with physiotherapy, massage therapy, and chiropractic care.

Do the acupuncture needles hurt?

This is the most common concern when it comes to acupuncture, especially where there is more than one needle used in the practice. However, the needles used at our facility are very thin in comparison to those used for injections. There may be a little pressure felt as it pierces the skin, but once it reaches the muscle, there is no pain.

Is there anything I should do before or after an acupuncture treatment?

Having acupuncture on an empty stomach could make you feel lightheaded or fatigued afterwards, therefore, it is best to have a light meal a few hours before your treatment. Plan your day so that you are not doing anything strenuous or stressful as it is important to allow your body to heal. Also, remember to drink plenty of water following treatment.
