What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapists are certified medical professionals that use pressurized touch to manipulate the soft tissue and muscles of the body. Massage therapists use their techniques to help reduce pain, rehabilitate injuries, reduce stress, increase relaxation and aid in the overall wellness of their patients.

At Trend Physio, our massage therapists are highly trained professionals who utilize various techniques, such as deep tissues massage, fascial stretch therapy, dynamic stretching, trigger point massage and relaxation massage to promote wellness and decrease pain. Our highly trained massage therapists will listen to your concerns and paint an overall picture of your current health to design a treatment plan that specifically targets areas of discomfort.

Conditions our Massage Therapists Treat:
  • Increase blood circulation
  • Decrease chronic pain
  • Relaxing injured muscles, ligaments, or tendons
  • Reducing or eliminating pain
  • Promoting optimal health and well-being

Massage therapy can stand alone as a treatment method for relief to patients suffering from many conditions and can provide immense benefits when used in conjunction with other forms of physical therapy, including physiotherapy and chiropractic care.

Common FAQ

What can I expect during my first massage?

At your first massage, you'll complete a complete health history form and address any of your concerns and goals with your massage therapist. Once the treatment has been determined, the RMT will leave the room to allow you the privacy to get onto the table and make yourself comfortable. Before re-entering the room, your therapist will knock on the door.

How often should I get a massage?

Depending on your preventative and maintenance needs, one massage per month is the recommended frequency. If your specific condition or needs demand it, your RMT will design a customized treatment plan which may involve more or less frequent massages.

How long will my massage be?

The duration of the therapy and technique will depend on your treatment plan. Generally, your treatment ranges from 30-90 minutes.
