Common FAQ

Is an adjustment always required?

An adjustment is a safe, noninvasive procedure utilized by a chiropractor to restore function to dysfunctional joints or other supporting structures of the body. However, our chiropractic team strive to make patients feel comfortable. We understand that not every patient requires an adjustment or feels comfortable being adjusted. That is why we use our clinical experience and hand-on training to provide the best possible care for you!

What level of education and training do chiropractors possess?

Doctors of chiropractic are educated as primary-contact healthcare providers, with an emphasis on diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the musculoskeletal system and the nerves that supply them. Chiropractors have to go through five academic years of professional study and continuing education courses throughout their professional careers. Doctors of chiropractic are educated in orthopedics, neurology, physiology, human anatomy, clinical diagnosis, laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging, exercise, nutrition, and rehabilitation, to name a few.
